Summer Getaway@ Hermana Menor!!!

If you are looking for an affordable summer getaway, this is a perfect place for everyone who loves beach/ swimming/ snorkeling and photo shoot. The crystal clear water is soooo inviting, you'll just love to swim and enjoy the beauty of this hidden paradise. It is less crowded. You can see here a long stretch of powdery white sand and crystal clear blue/ green water. There are coconut trees and Talisay. There are cottages like kubo and  tables under the trees. You can pitch tent for free. Hermana Menor/Mayor is Located at Sta. Cruz Zambales !!!  This Island just opened last year for public, it is owned by Palawan Governor Jose Alvarez. The locals call it as makatira Island.

Hermana Mayor is still closed to the Public.

How to get there:

* From Manila, take a Victory Liner bus (Caloocan/ Cubao/ Pasay/ Sampaloc Terminal) bound for Sta Cruz Zambales. Fare is P432 to P490. Travel time is 5 to 6 hrs.

Note: Check Victory Liner bus schedule or be early especially during long weekend or holidays.  

* Ask the bus conductor to drop you off at Petron Station in Brgy. Lipay, Sta. Cruz.   

* From Brgy Lipay Petron Station, ride a tryke going to the port. Fare is P10 per person. Ride will take 3 to 5 minutes.

* From the port, rent a boat to take you to Hermana Menor. Travel time is 30 to 40 minutes.  Boat Fee is P1,300 to P1,500 for 4 to 6 person.

* Entrance fee is P100 per head

* Cottage P350 to P1,000.

March 18, 2018:

4:45 am - Wake up call

5:15 am - ETD from Botolan Wild Life Farm

5:30 am - Iba  Breakfast @ Mc donalds

5:50 am - ETD from Iba

7:15 am - ETA @ Petron Gas Station. (Sta. Cruz) Market

7:30 am - @ Port Area. Ride boat to Hermana Menor

8:00 am - ETA @ Hermana Menor

2:00 pm - Pack up

2;30 pm - Fetched by boatman/ Return to Port

7:00 pm - Dinner @ SBMA Harbor pt. Jollibee

TRAVEL GUIDE & TIPS:

1. Bring your own food or buy food at the market/Talipapa infont of Petron before going to Hermana Menor.
2. Bring  drinking.water.
3. Water  is available for rinsing only..
4. Separate Comfort rooms for Male & Female is available.
5. Overnight stay is NOT allowed in the Island
6. Pitch your own tent for Free.
7. Cellphone Signal is Available.
8. Bring power bank, there is no electricity in the Island.
9. Grilling station is available where you can cook your food for free, just bring Charcoal.
